Ugane is an Igala word for “The Light”. Ugane Foundation is a none profitable organization established to support personal evangelism and transparency projects, initially within the Igala in Nigeria, but now expanding into other regions of Nigeria and Africa. The inspiration came through a group of Igala Christian Professionals, who came together in 1991 with the zeal to pray and support evangelical missions in Igala - “beginning from their own Jerusalem”. The concept of Christian professionals coming together regularly to pray and support evangelism among their own people grew within and across denominations.
